Every Sunday here in Chattanooga is the Chattanooga Market. It’s a local farmers marketthat has some amazing offerings! I’ll be featuring my finds a I come across them.

Up first? Spicy Strawberry Relish by Daylilies, LLC.

This strawberry relish is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I never considered that strawberries would make a yummy spicy relish.

I also picked up some Cran-Apple Sauce from Daylilies, LLC and it’s “Yammy!” (according to Samantha)

My wonderful husband let Madison & Mommy sleep in this morning. Once we got up I had two english muffins with lemon curd. For those of you who may never have experienced lemon curd before, please try it. It’s divine! It’s like a pie filling in a jar to put on bread. SO yummy and lemony! I also had a Weight Watchers yogurt and a big glass of water.

Madison and I then went to Sally Beauty Supply while Sam took a nap with her Grandma and picked up some cleansing conditioner to hopefully help fix my itchy scalp and unmanageable hair. We came home and I had half a cup of fresh blueberries (yum!) and a cup of chocolate coffee from World Market mixed with a packet of hot cocoa. So yummy!

Heather, Jason & Chealsea are fixing dinner tonight so I’m glad I have lots of points left. It’s beautiful out today and I already have my tennis shoes on so I’m going to go for a nice long walk – kid-free – since there are plenty of people to keep the kids alive here at home. : )

I really enjoyed my 1.5 mile walk. It might have been 40 degrees outside and the snow/ice was still hanging onto the shade but it was beautiful and peaceful. I walked around the neighborhood (I used the term loosely), up and down several hills, with a 17 minute pace.

When I got back Heather had dinner ready. Yummy cheese ravioli with cauliflower and green olives with green beans and dijon sauce. Pears and vanilla pudding for dessert. I followed that up with a shower and tried out the Green Tea Cleansing Conditioner and so far I really like it.

My first weigh-in is tonight. I’m kinda nervous but hoping for a loss. We shall see!

After dealing with two sick kids all night we decided to sleep in a bit this morning. By the time we got up I decided not to eat breakfast because I thought we were going to my on-laws for lunch. Lunch came and went so I decided to eat an English muffin with honey. We did come over here for dinner where we had rice casserole, coleslaw, banana bread and brownies. Its not the best plan but since I didn’t eat much the first part of the day I was able to eat whatever I wanted for dinner. An extra serving of brownies!

We lost power while we were at the in-laws and it was kind of cozy sitting around, talking, with the fire lit and oil lamps on tables. Thankfully we have power here at home.

When we got home I found that my sister, Heather, had a friend over who cooked honest-to-goodness Chinese food. I had a few bites of some kind of potato stuff and some tofu stuff. Not a lot but more than I should have.

I feel bad, I haven’t been able to get outside for any real exercise in two days. I wish I had some tall winter boots so I could do so without ending up completely soaked. If I can’t get somewhere for some exercise tomorrow I’m considering walking laps in the mall or up and down the stairs here at home.

Different note, we need to figure out what to do about Samantha. Time-outs don’t seem to be getting the point across. I know she understands why she’s in time-out but the fact that she’s in time-out doesn’t seem to bother her anymore. Suggestions?
